Manhattan has all the skyscrapers and rooftops of Gotham but a surprising lack of gargoyles. It's as if the city wasn't designed for people to lurk above it. Also: way fewer abandoned amusement parks, broken down toy factories, anything that just screams 'build an evil lair inside me'. Steph hasn't checked, but she's positive that the only crocodiles living in the sewers are not human mutants who also serve as mob enforcers. She doesn't know if the lack of these things makes her like New York or miss Gotham even more.
Her sight-seeing has been strictly ground level thanks to her injuries, which had induced a major many-day pity party earlier in the month. A real city with real rooftops and she couldn't go swinging in it, so so unfair. It still sucks, but Steph's mostly over it now. She is a bounce back kind of girl.
The compromise has been finding the best building with roof access that's high enough to give a good view. Also the one with the best security, just to give herself a challenge. She manages it, of course, total piece of cake thanks to her stealthy ways, and at the appropriate hour slips onto the rooftop. She's still on crutches but moves on them like a pro by now and is all decked out for the winter weather with more scarf and hat than any one person could ever need.
All ready for date night.

But she still kisses Cass again as the elevator door opens. "That sounds awesome. Let's get a room."

Cass pressed her forehead against Steph's, leaning forward slightly. Pulling back she pressed a kiss against Steph's lips before letting her gather herself and follow her to reception. "We could even get the penthouse, we don't actually pay here."

"Ooooh, penthouse. I agree." They get out to the lobby and Steph hobbles up to the reception desk as the girl behind it fades into being corporeal. "We would like the fanciest room you have, please. Emphasis on the fancy."

Cass tended to prefer two hour showers, as Tim could have attested to, but she didn't mind having a bubble bath if it meant having one with Steph.
"The best please," Cass said as the fade in and out girl handed Cass a set of keys. "How fancy do you think fancy is?"

They get the keys and head back the way they came. "Fancy enough to have its own elevator." The penthouse elevator was, indeed, fancy all by itself, and Steph unlocked it before gesturing for Cass to go in. "After you, madam."

Cass smiled, reaching for Steph before kissing her as the doors slid shut. Smiling against Steph's lips, she murmured a sweet noise before turning her attention to show Steph how she felt with her lips.

At first it's just a soft, everyday sort of kiss but then Cass makes that happy sound and part of her just melts. Steph wraps her good arm around her and opens her mouth into the kiss because, really, Cass loves her and Steph loves her right back. She doesn't even notice when the elevator dings open.
